National recognition made possible by the collaborative Public Relations Partnership between SEDC, The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and the Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau.
On April 4, a crew from ABC World News with Diane Sawyer visited Saratoga County to shoot a piece for their groundbreaking series “Made in America,” which focuses on American manufacturing and the US economy.
The crew toured the Globalfoundries Fab 8, HVCC TEC SMART, and met with local students, teachers and local businesses in Malta that are feeling the impact of Globalfoundries Fab 8.
ABC Producers called SEDC and Globalfoundries after reading about the project in a February Christian Science Monitor Story. The story came as a result of a collaborative public relations effort between SEDC, the Saratoga County Chamber and the Saratoga County Convention and Tourism to help garner positive national and international recognition of Saratoga County’s business assets.
SEDC staff met with ABC producers in New York City in February and Travis Bullard of Globalfoundries coordinated the itinerary and hosted ABC’s David Muir and his film crew. This is an excellent win and well deserved recognition for Saratoga County and the region.
These efforts are made possible by the collaborative public-private partnership and support of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors, their fiscal responsibility and their strong commitment to economic development in Saratoga County.
