A 40-Year Milestone:
Excelsior College ‘Partners’ to be Honored for Supporting Roles in Building Cutting-Edge Higher Ed for Working Adults
Albany, NY (March 27, 2012) – Excelsior College’s unique 40-year impact on higher education will be celebrated at Excelsior’s annual “Partners in Lifelong Learning” scholarship event on Thursday, April 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the New York State Museum.
The event recognizes a second group of 20 regional leaders whose personal and professional commitments have helped grow the College into a leading nonprofit distance learning institution focused on working adult students. The first 20 Partners were honored in 2011.

Excelsior has grown to include a student population of more than 33,000 distance learners, approximately 15,000 of whom are members of the military and veterans. The college now has more than 140,000 alumni worldwide.
