On Saturday, July 23, NBC Sports launched a new program “Summer at Saratoga.” The program was broadcast live from the Historic Saratoga Race Course and featured two special segments about Saratoga. To watch these two segments, please click the video links to view.
“Summer at Saratoga” is being produced by the New York Racing Association (NYRA) and Carr-Hughes Productions, a Saratoga Springs based production company. The series will be broadcast to a national audience each Saturday, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., over the next seven weeks – -twice more on NBC – – and five times on Versus. The Summer at Saratoga series is the result of a partnership between NYRA and the NBC Sports Group”
Todd Shimkus, President of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, along with Charlie Hayward, the CEO of NYRA, watched the production of Summer at Saratoga by Carr-Hughes Productions on Saturday. “We’re so fortunate that NYRA was able to partner with NBC Sports to create this extraordinary television series,” said Shimkus. “It is great to have this program produced by Carr-Hughes, a local company who knows just how special and unique Saratoga County is. This production is so well done that we’re confident it will be of great value to our efforts to promote tourism visitation to the Saratoga Race Course and all of Saratoga County.”
