The upcoming Saratoga Springs Rotary Home and Garden Show will be held starting on Friday February 25th and run through the afternoon of Sunday February 27th at the newly expanded Saratoga City Center. The majority of the proceeds from the event go to benefit Saratoga based community service organizations and scholarships for area high school students. Show hours are 5-9 pm Friday, 9 am to 7 pm Saturday, and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Admission is $6.00 for adults; children 5-12 are a $1; and Children under 5 are free.
In recent years, the Rotary Club’s Home and Garden Show has raised over $100,000; which in turn has been donated to nearly two dozen local charitable and community service organizations. Past recipients have been the Shelters of Saratoga, the Salvation Army of Saratoga Springs, and the Franklin Community Center. There was also a focus in supporting youth programs such as the Boys and Girl Scouts and area youth softball teams. In addition, a large portion of the proceeds are presentenced as scholarships to area high school students who are pursuing a post secondary education including vocational training, or in two and four year college programs.
Visitors will find hundreds of great products and residential service providers with over 130 exhibitors displaying a wide range of services from energy saving green technology to kitchen and bath remodeling to trends in landscaping and outdoor living. Seminars will be run through out the weekend covering a broad variety of topics. Attendees will be eligible to win the one of the many door prizes being offered as well as the grand prize of a Bose 3-2-1 Entertainment system and a 32” Panasonic flat-panel TV courtesy of Ray Supply.
