The Malta Business and Professional Association hosted it’s Annual Meeting, on Wednesday, January 19th, at Panza’s. The dinner meeting featured a special celebration in honor of the organization having been formed 25 years ago. One of the featured speakers at the dinner was David Meager, the former Malta Town Supervisor, who was in office at the time of the organization’s formation.
While former Supervisor Meager didn’t offer a book review during his formal remarks, he did recommend to those sitting at his table for dinner two must-read books. The first is “Unbroken,” by Laura Hillenbrand, which is a World War II story of survival, resilience, and redemption. The second book he recommended we read is “Life” by Keith Richards, a co-founder and the lead guitarist of the Rolling Stones. It’s been said that “leaders are readers” but you never know what our leaders might read until you ask.
